Hamilton Park Apartments Parking Lot Work

The parking lot is now open. Please drive slowly and do not make any aggressive turns over the next few days at the lot continues to day.

UPDATE: Tuesday, August 10th at 315 PM.
We are currently 60% done with the top (final) coat of asphalt. The remainder will be installed before the end of the day today. We are hoping for some rain this evening to help cool down the asphalt. The lot will be painted tomorrow (weather permitting).
We will be opening up the parking lot as soon as the asphalt has cooled down to prevent damage to the new lot.

UPDATE: Monday, August 9th at 410 PM.
The crew started very early this morning in order to beat the rain (which would delay the project). Thanks for your understanding. The installation of the base layer of the parking lot is now complete. As of now, the plan is to install the final layer tomorrow (weather permitting). The parking lot does need to cool down before vehicles can drive on it. We are hoping for some rain AFTER the final coat is installed.

UPDATE: Friday, August 6th at 130pm.
The removal of the parking lot is 90% done. If the weather cooperates, the remainder will be completed today.
The plan moving forward is to begin paving on Monday (weather permitting). Paving will be a two day process (bottom and top coat) and then the asphalt will have to cool down before vehicles can drive on it.

Project start dates have changed. Please read below.
The contractor replacing the parking lot has delayed this project by two days. The parking lot work will now begin Thursday, August 5th at at 8 AM. This process will take 3-4 business days to complete as the entire parking lot will be removed, regraded and replaced.
All vehicles must be out of the parking lot by 8 AM on Thursday, August 5th by 8 AM. This includes vehicles in carports and any items currently being stored on the ground in your carport (grills, totes, bikes, etc). There will be no re-entry into the parking lot by vehicle until the project is complete (outside of emergency vehicles).

Where can I park?
Any open on-street parking along Locke and Wallace CT. Please be sure to remove personal items and secure your vehicle. Please do not park at East Elementary, you will be towed.
A map is listed below. The yellow areas are designated parking spots. Please do not park on any lawn.
Can I drive in the lot during the work?
No. No vehicles will be allowed inside the parking lot during this work
What if I have a medical condition that requires my vehicle to be close?

What if there is an emergency?
The contractor will make sure the parking lot is accessible to all emergency vehicles at all times.
